Striving For Awareness The Greenhouse Effect is “the natural situation in which heat is retained by a layer of greenhouse gases.” Obviously, it is important to have a balance of the gases, carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor and a few others in order for the atmosphere to retain heat. Global warming is also generally recognized to be a natural situation in which the earth goes through periods of heating. However, Gore has made the case along with other scientist that humans have

increased this rate on an extreme scale, meaning that temperatures are drastically on the rise. "The planet has a fever." In Al Gore’s documentary, he described how he had made a graph of the temperatures on earth over a period of 40-50 years. He makes it clear with the shear rise of the red line that the temperature has in fact been on the rise at an abnormally rapid rate. Humans let carbon dioxide into the air through cars, factories and day to day activity. Gore says that everyone must cut down on how much they release into the atmosphere. Although many other scientists have given a caveat to the people, Gore used his political status and power to make the planet's situation known; pushing awareness farther than any other politician claiming to be Eco-friendly. Striving for change is striving for a better world. "We Americans write our own history. An the chapters of which we are proudest of are the ones we had the courage to change."
The Internet and other Technology Many people claim that AL Gore said he invented the internet. However, they mere mistook what he said. Gore said, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."Many people thought this meant that Gore actually took part in the technological aspects.

is false, for what Gore meant was that he was the one who pushed the bill to allow the internet to happen. The internet was not as we know it now, but instead a simple program made for military purposes if all other connections between countries were destroyed. This, of course, was notion conjured at the time when most

everyone was sure that their imminent fate was to be destroyed in the event of a nuclear war. Gore took part in this project because he was on the U.S. Senate and wanted to make a difference. Additionally, Gore is on the board of Apple, pushing innovation to the fullest. He had also worked with Google and is a visiting professor at many different colleges, learning and teaching the information that he has collected over the years.
